What it is for

These sections show how your child is going. Each appears only when the school has switched it on, and only for a parent whose standing allows it. Reports and results need the reports purpose, which the school gives to the parents who receive reports.

Reports

"Reports" lists each report the school has sent home, with "Sent home on" and the day. Press "Open the" report for the period to read it. Each link works for ten minutes. The page says so: "Each link works for ten minutes. Reload this page to get a new one." A copy you downloaded earlier stays on your device, and a later version from the school replaces it.

If the school withdraws a report you read "The" period "report was withdrawn on" the day, followed by "The school will publish a corrected one." With none you read "No report has been sent home yet".

Results

"Results" shows what teachers have released: the "Feedback" on each task and the "Outcomes assessed". "Progress against outcomes" summarises how the child is going. With none released you read "No results have been released yet".

Subject selection

When the school opens subject choices, the student chooses from their own portal under "Choose your subjects". The page shows "Open now. It closes on" the closing day. The student presses "Send my choices", or "Send my choices again" to change them, and reads "Your choices were sent." A parent sees the same section as a read-only view, with the note "Only the student sends subject choices, from their own portal."

Wellbeing

"Wellbeing" shows what the school chooses to share with parents: "Merits and notes" and "Sanctions". With nothing shared you read "Nothing shared yet".

Activities

"Activities" shows what the child takes part in. The headings are "This season", "Next events", "Results" and "Trips". A trip says "Consent given" or "Consent still needed", so you can see what remains for you to answer. With none you read "Not in an activity".

Reports, results, subject selection, wellbeing and activities are sections on this page.

Training notes

  • Release results and reports before telling families to look, because the sections stay empty until then.
  • If a parent says they cannot see reports, check whether they are marked as a recipient of reports on the child's record.
  • Tell staff that what they mark for parents in wellbeing is what the family reads.
